This Privacy Policy explains how Waggly Shop (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use wagglyshop.com.au (“the Service”).
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What we collect
Waggly Shop is designed so you can browse and compare prices without creating an account. We minimise the personal information we collect. The information we do collect includes:
- Automatically collected data — Your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location (country/region) via standard web server logs and analytics tools
- Cookies and similar technologies — Including affiliate tracking cookies set when you click through to a retailer (see below)
- Information you provide — If you contact us by email, we collect the contact details and message content you choose to send
We do not collect payment card or bank details. Purchases happen on the retailer’s site, not on Waggly Shop.
2. Cookies and affiliate tracking
When you click on a “Select” link or any other retailer link on Waggly Shop, an affiliate cookie may be set in your browser. This cookie tells the retailer that the referral came from us, so they can pay us a commission if you make a qualifying purchase.
You can clear or block these cookies at any time using your browser settings. Doing so will not change the price you pay, but it may prevent us from being credited for the referral.
3. Analytics
We use standard website analytics tools to understand how the Service is used (which pages are popular, where traffic comes from, etc.). Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you. Where third-party analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics) are used, their privacy policies also apply.
4. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain and improve the Service
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can make it better
- Respond to enquiries and feedback you send us

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Email correspondence is typically retained for up to 2 years.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No system is perfectly secure, but we use HTTPS across the site and apply industry-standard hosting practices.

- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete personal information where we no longer have a lawful basis to hold it
- Make a complaint about how we’ve handled your personal information

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
